Yes for most 13" laptops. It’s designed to carry up to a 15" laptop in daily use, and we list fit for a 16" MacBook class device. For 15.6" Windows laptops, compare your laptop’s width and depth to the tote’s dimensions before ordering.

Does it zip fully closed?
Yes. La Biche uses a top YKK zipper for secure, commute-safe closure.
Are the straps long enough to wear over a winter coat?
Yes. The leather handles are designed with a generous strap drop (the distance from the top of the handle to the bag). This ensures you can comfortably carry it over your shoulder, even when wearing a thick down jacket or wool coat during colder months.
How is the interior organized?
One large main compartment, one zip pocket, and two slip pockets for quick-grab items like phone and wallet. It also includes two pen holders for work carry.
Does the bag stand up on its own?
The La Biche is made from semi-structured Crazy Horse leather. It has a sturdy base, so it generally stands upright when loaded with your daily essentials. When empty, it may have a slight, stylish slouch that adds to its vintage leather appeal.

Will it fit a water bottle and lunch?
In most work setups, yes. The tote’s depth (4.3") is built for real carry: bottle, notebook, pouch, and daily essentials, while still keeping a clean silhouette.
Is it comfortable on the shoulder?
Yes. Handle drop is listed as 9.8" (25 cm), and the straps are designed to distribute weight evenly. For heavy loads (laptop + bottle + files), we recommend balancing weight and avoiding long-term overloading.
Is the tote structured or slouchy?
It’s intentionally unstructured. It flexes with your carry and develops a lived-in shape over time.
What leather is it made from?
Full-grain cowhide Crazy Horse leather. It’s a waxed pull-up leather that darkens and gains patina with use, so every bag becomes visually unique.
Why does Crazy Horse leather show marks so easily?
That’s the point of pull-up leather. Light scratches are cosmetic “wear signals” that blend into patina. If you want to reduce a scuff, buff it with a soft dry cloth to redistribute the waxes.
Is La Biche waterproof?
No. It’s built for real life and handles light moisture well when wiped promptly, but it is not waterproof. If it gets wet, wipe it dry and let it air-dry naturally, away from heat.
Will the wax or dye transfer onto clothes?
Minor transfer can happen early on with dark leathers under heavy friction, heat, or humidity. Best practice: avoid pairing a new dark leather tote with white fabrics for the first few wears and keep the surface dry.
How do I clean and maintain it?
Weekly: wipe dust with a soft dry cloth. As needed: buff scuffs dry. Periodically: apply a thin layer of leather balm or wax (test a small area first). Avoid detergents and heat drying.

Can I add monogramming?
Yes. Monogramming is available as an add-on. Limit is 12 characters, and you can choose from multiple fonts (Lobster, Kalam, Ubuntu, Oswald, Rockwell).
Are monogrammed items returnable?
No. Personalized or monogrammed items are not eligible for returns or exchanges, so confirm spelling and font before checkout.
What is your return window for non-personalized items?
30 days from purchase, provided the item is unused and in original packaging.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. We offer a limited 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.

IF YOUR YUKON CRAZY HORSE LEATHER BAG GETS WET:
- Simply wipe dry with a soft leather cloth.
- Do not store your bag while wet.
- Wipe off any moisture before storing to prevent mold or mildew.
- After drying bag: Hang to dry or turn bag inside-out.
- Do not use a hairdryer or any type of heat to dry your bag. Applying heat can cause the leather to crack or harden.
FOR SPILLS:
- Wipe spills off with a slightly dampened cloth.
- Do NOT use detergents or cleansers on your Crazy Horse leather bag – this will discolor the leather and can destroy the beauty of the bag.
- If necessary: Use a soft toothbrush to gently scrub away any stains.

TO ELIMINATE UNWANTED SCRATCHES:
- Using a soft dry cloth – rub scratch in a circular motion to redistribute wax coating.
- For a deep scratch - leather wax can be applied to bring the leather back to its previous condition.
- Leather cream or wax should be applied periodically to preserve softness and luster.

TO AVOID STRETCHING THE LEATHER:
- Limit the number of items stored in the bag over long periods.
- Limit storing heavy items for long periods.
- Avoid over-stuffing pockets.
TO KEEP YOUR CRAZY HORSE LEATHER SOFT AND SUPPLE:
- TEST a small patch before coating entire bag. Some products can change the color of the leather.
- Apply a THIN, even layer of leather balm or leather wax to your bag with a soft, clean sponge.
- Wipe off any excess balm (or wax) with a soft, dry, leather cloth.
We strongly recommend periodically treating your Yukon Bag to a coating of leather balm or wax to prevent the leather from becoming dry or cracked.
Caution: Overuse of products designed to keep leather soft can result in too much softening and may result in the bag losing its shape.
STORING YOUR CRAZY HOUSE LEATHER BAG:
- Protect your Yukon bag by storing it in a clean, dry space.
- Wipe away any moisture before storing your bag.
- Be sure the bag is completely DRY before storing it.
- For optimal results in maintaining the bag’s shape – empty bag before storing.
- For long periods of storage, we recommend keeping the bag in a soft cotton pillowcase. This will prevent discoloration from dust or infestation by insects (always check for them after a hike!).
- If you plan for your bag to stay in storage for an extended length of time, inspect it every 3-4 weeks. If you store the bag without emptying it first, check every 1-2 weeks to avoid stretching or mold.

This bag looks even better in person. The camel is a gorgeous, rich colour and the leather feels very nice to the touch. This is the second bag I’ve ordered from Yukon Bags, and I’ve been impressed with both. I will note that both bags are the “camel” colourway, so there is some shade variation (which is totally understandable with natural leather). The La Biche bag turned out a bit lighter and more vibrant than I was expecting, but I love this shade even more so I’m very happy with the product :)

I LOVE this bag. For years I have wanted a brown leather tote that was amazing quality and just the right softness. This bag is big enough for my regular everyday items as a purse, plus my lunch bento, sweater, book and my portable speaker when I go to the office.
I was worried it wouldn't live up to my super high hopes and expectations, but it is beyond them!!! I can't wait to see how much better it gets with use and age. I will be buying more products from Yukon.
